What has ZONA different from other restaurants? Many things without a doubt, but above all it’s outburst of flavor in the palate while contemplating a view so as not to forget.

ZONA is in the minds of those who visit the city of Budapest. It is a very applauded place in the international press getting very good reviews. It has a historical location, near the funicular that goes up to the castle, surrounded by buildings of the XIX century, with the Danube river just opposite, the chain bridge on one side, located in a renovated area of Buda with Pest in front… it is not surprising that 80% of its clientele is foreign, making the place one of the most cosmopolitan places in the city.

The place is intimate at night, with a dream view sitting from any table, during the day is more bustling by the transit of tourists who come and go, it all depends on time of the year you visit it… We believe any time of the day and of the year it is a surprising place, however we recommend autumn during the day and summer for the nights.

Chef Levente Kovács and his team, who have been working the place for years in a comfortable way, present well elaborated and unpretentious dishes with a Hungarian, Jewish, French cuisine base. Dishes with aromas and colors, making each dish unique as the most important one that is being prepared at that time, and served to the table by an unparalleled staff. Despite being a place with an international clientele, local citizens also recognize that they have opened the range of flavors in their traditional customs since they visited the place. I would say that more than a restaurant ZONA is a Maestro Bistro Restaurant that does not give the possibility of criticism. A place where imagination and creativity are palpable, with amazing results.

Is it perhaps the Danube, which divides the city in two, that comes from there and goes over there, that brings its magic to all the cultural mix that makes ZONA have such a special atmosphere?

Jazz Trio at night, Music & Gourmet with the Swing Brothers, every first Wednesday of the month at ZONA Lánhíd utca 7-9, 1013 Budapest.

ZONA is not a place with an affordable price but if you compare it to similar places in other European capitals, then it becomes an inexpensive place.
